Bec and James Tweddell have a long history with farming. Both come from multi generation farming families... it is well and truly in their blood.

Originally from South Australia, Bec and James were multi-award winning winemakers, vineyard contractors and grape growers from South Australia. They also owned a farm machinery dealership in the Adelaide Hills and Irrigation company in the Barossa Valley.

 

In 2015 they purchased Allora Downs, a broad acre farm where they also ran hay contracting and machinery sales from.

 

In 2023 they sold Allora Downs to 100% concentrate on the machinery business, relocating to Oakey, 15 mins West of Toowoomba, Queensland.

 

In 2026 Metis Machinery released it's own branded machines, offering a wide range of implements including a wide range of offset discs, slashers, aerators and specialised equipment, all assembled at their premises at Oakey.
